Dear Friends,
We are deeply grateful for your generosity toward the 3 Streams Institute (3SI) at Wellspring Church. We’re writing with joy to share some of the fruit of your partnership and how your support is helping us recruit, form, train, and send leaders for the Church.
As you know, this past year we completed our second intern cohort, consisting of eight interns. One of those interns, Mac Conn, joined us from our partner church in Colorado Springs, Restoration Anglican, marking the first time we have welcomed an intern from another congregation. It has been a gift to see how 3SI can serve the wider Diocese through shared formation, fellowship, and partnership.
We also completed our first apprenticeship cohort, with five apprentices finishing two full years of formation in 3 Streams. We would love for you to hear, in their own words, where the Lord is leading them next:
Paige: “After completing the 3 Streams Apprenticeship, I’ll be staying on staff at Wellspring as the Discipleship Coordinator. The Lord has grown in me a passion for helping people find belonging, and I’ll live that out by overseeing Hospitality, Women’s Discipleship, and Stephen Ministry. I’ll also continue at Denver Seminary pursuing my MDiv.”
Joe: “After completing the 3 Streams Apprenticeship, I’m hoping to keep leaning in where the Lord already has me—leading our Discipleship Group and serving with Alpha. At home, I want to disciple our children well and keep growing through reading and learning (and maybe guitar and Biblical languages). I’m holding it all with open hands, trusting the Lord to lead me to what’s next.”
Ethan: “After completing the 3 Streams Apprenticeship, I won’t be going far—I’ll continue on staff at Wellspring as Youth Coordinator, investing in students through Wellspring Youth. I’m also stepping into a role with the Diocese of the Rocky Mountains as Systems Manager, and continuing at Colorado Christian University Theater as Master Painter and Deck Chief. I’m excited to serve in these roles with the gifts God has grown in me through 3SI.”
Martha: “After completing the 3 Streams Apprenticeship, I’m grateful to remain part of the Wellspring family while stepping into a new season of clinical training. This summer I began two counseling internships (Heartlight Grief and Loss Center in Denver and a group practice in Colorado Springs) and I’m entering my final year at Denver Seminary, graduating spring 2027. I’m thankful for Wellspring’s support—Wellspring remains home, and I look forward to continuing to worship, serve, and grow here.”
Olivia: “After completing the 3 Streams Apprenticeship, I’m officially joining staff at Wellspring as the 3 Streams Institute Coordinator, supporting Tara and the cohorts through communication and administration. I’m also excited to be more fully present at church with my husband, Isaac, in our first year of marriage. And I’ll be finishing my master’s in Pastoral Care and Counseling at Denver Seminary this December.”
As we look ahead to the next class of 3 Streams (Fall 2026–Spring 2027), we are encouraged by what the Lord is doing and expectant about what’s to come. We have accepted eight interns at Wellspring for our third class and we are grateful to be partnering with International Anglican Church (Colorado Springs) as they send three interns to learn and grow with us. We also will have six apprentices, including one from Restoration Anglican (Colorado Springs) and one from Redemption Anglican (Golden).
This year, we have paused launching the residency, as it was built around DRM credentialing processes that are currently changing. We look forward to reimagining the residency over the summer and fall, and to launching it once the ordination process has settled.
We celebrated all that God has done at our annual celebration on June 1, sharing stories from the past year and gathering around the table together. One of our favorite moments was a video shown from the department heads at Wellspring sharing how God has used the interns to bless our congregation. Because you have partnered with us in supporting Interns and Apprentices, you too have been a blessing to the Church. The impact of 3 Streams continues to extend beyond Wellspring as interns and apprentices are both serving within our church and being sent out to bless the broader Church.
We also wanted to share a story from one of our alumni, Madi Bishop. As you’ll see, the seeds planted during her time as a 3SI intern continue to bear fruit. Here’s a glimpse of what God has been doing in her life since completing the program:
“3 Streams Institute equipped me with more than ministry experience; it formed me spiritually, emotionally, and relationally for a lifetime of serving the people of God. The program’s emphasis on gospel centered leadership and Spirit led discernment continues to shape my work at Uncharted International as we support believers serving in overlooked and unreached communities around the world. While I am not serving in Anglican church leadership, 3 Streams gave me the tools to lead with humility, discernment, and dependence on His Spirit, qualities that are essential when working alongside the diverse expressions of the global Church. I am deeply grateful for the Anglican tradition and what the internship taught me about its unique contribution to the body of Christ. At the same time, the gospel centered principles I learned through 3 Streams transcend any single tradition and have equipped me to serve faithfully across cultures, denominations, and contexts as we work to see the name of Jesus made known and His Kingdom advanced in some of the hardest and darkest places in the world.”

At our 3SI Celebration, we prayed this prayer together as a community. We think of it as the 3SI Family Prayer, and because you are part of this story, we’d love to invite you to pray it with us this year:
Oh God, you have formed your Church to be a community of prayer and a center of Christ-like service to the world. Raise up leaders in your Church. Grant to each 3SI intern, apprentice, and resident, who have been called by your grace to minister in your Name, that they may be filled with your Spirit, that they may be diligent in prayer, and faithful in service, that their lives may glorify your Name, through Jesus Christ our Lord.
