Inspired by Faith
Wellspring Church in Englewood, Colorado has been training interns, apprentices, and residents since 2015. In early 2022, Billy Waters, the Lead Pastor, formed a task force to consider what it might look like to double down on our efforts to form and train future clergy through a new initiative. Seeing the general decline of church membership in the United States and the challenges facing churches seeking new leadership, Billy and a small group of leaders launched what would become known as 3 Streams Institute.
Drawing on the best of the charismatic, evangelical, and catholic traditions - sometimes expressed as Spirit, Word, Sacrament - 3 Streams was formed to provide the job training, as well as the community and spiritual formation experiences, that young leaders need as they’re considering a future in church leadership.
Transforming Education, Shaping Leaders
3 Streams is a new educational initiative, incubated by Wellspring Church, that provides adult learning focused primarily on character growth. Learners not only gain valuable work experience, they also receive mentorship from senior leaders, participate in discussion on important ministry topics, benefit from spiritual growth practices, and develop through formal and self-guided learning activities.
JESUS ONCE SAID
“The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few.” (Luke 10:2)
3 Streams was formed for just that purpose:
to send out a new generation of pastoral leaders into the harvest fields.
